All in my mind (IV): Sonic Drive-in

   Time came for the 4th collection of the blog`s music column "All in my mind", this time entitled "Sonic Drive-in". I thought it was a suitable title, since it follows the previous collection, which had the title "Take a roadtrip..." (click here to listen to it). Can you think of a better way to complete a roatrip, than a stop at a Drive-in?.

   The theme of this collection is songs which are heard in movies and are also included in the movies` official soundtracks. The collection brings together a great mix of different styles of music, from alternative rock to new wave and from electronic to funk. It also brings back memories of great films and movie scenes, since most of them left their mark in these movies.

   I have to point out that "... in this blog`s music column a fictional collection is offered, with its cover, fully conceived by me, not for downloading but only for listening (and that`s why it`s entitled "All in my mind"!!!), in the form of a playlist, through the Grooveshark player.

   The speed of transitions from song to song or any "crashes" depend on the speed of your internet connection..."

   Ήρθε η ώρα της 4ης συλλογής της μουσικής στήλης του blog "All in my mind", αυτή τη φορά με τον τίτλο "Sonic Drive-in". Νομίζω ότι είναι ένας κατάλληλος τίτλος, απ`τη στιγμή που ακολουθεί την προηγούμενη συλλογή, που είχε τον τίτλο "Take a roadtrip..." (πατήστε εδώ για να την ακούσετε). Μπορείτε να σκεφτείτε ένα καλύτερο τρόπο για ολοκληρωθεί ένα roadtrip, εκτός μιας στάσης σε ένα Drive-in;

   Το θέμα αυτής της συλλογής είναι τραγούδια που ακούγονται σε ταινίες και επίσης συμπεριλαμβάνονται στα επίσημα soundtrack τους. Η συλλογή συγκεντρώνει ένα μείγμα διαφορετικών ειδών μουσικής, από το εναλλακτικό rock στο new wave και από την electronic στο funk. Επίσης, μας φέρνει αναμνήσεις από σπουδαία φιλμ και σκηνές ταινιών, μια και τα περισσότερα άφησαν το σημάδι τους σε αυτές της ταινίες.

   Θυμίζω ότι: "...σε αυτή τη στήλη προτείνεται μια πλήρης κατά φαντασίαν συλλογή, με το εξώφυλλό της, εξ ολοκλήρου έμπνευσής μου, χωρίς όμως να προσφέρεται για downloading, αλλά μόνο για ακρόαση (γι` αυτό εξάλλου και η στήλη ονομάζεται "All in my mind"!!!), με τη μορφή μιας playlist, μέσω του player του Grooveshark.
  Η ταχύτητα εναλλαγής των τραγουδιών ή τυχόν "κολλήματα" θα εξαρτώνται από την ταχύτητα της σύνδεσής σας."
