"Tailor Anthony Sinclair provided the suits for Sean Connery in the first Bond movies "Dr. No", "From Russia With Love", "Goldfinger" , "You Only Live Twice" and "Diamonds Are Forever".
Terence Young, the director of Dr. No,
turned to his own tailor Anthony Sinclair to oversee the transformation
of the then unknown Sean Connery into the suave and stylish character
that prevails in our minds today ... Connery was not used
to wearing suits at the time and it is said that Young had him wear the
suits around the clock, even to the extent of sleeping in them, in order
to have him feel totally natural when filming began.
In the late
1950's Anthony Sinclair had created a classic, pared down shape, which
became known as the Conduit Cut (named after his original Mayfair
premises at 43 Conduit Street, just off Savile Row). The choice of
materials and colours were restricted; lightweight worsted in navy,
shades of grey and subtle Glen Urquhart checks or stripes. The Conduit
suit is still available today..."

Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του `50 ο Anthony Sinclair είχε σχεδιάσει ένα κλασσικό, σε απλή γραμμή σχέδιο, που έμεινε γνωστό ως Conduit Cut (με την ονομασία να προέρχεται από την διεύθυνση του καταστήματός του στην Conduit Street 43, κοντά στην Savile Row). Η επιλογή των υλικών και των χρωμάτων ήταν περιορισμένη: από ελαφρύ μαλλί, σε μπλε χρώμα, σε αποχρώσεις του γκρι και Glen Urquhart καρώ ή ριγέ σχέδιο. Το κοστούμι Conduit διατίθεται ακόμη και σήμερα..."
