A house built with monastic simplicity in New Zealand, a work of Fearon Hay architectural firm. It is a contemporary haven where natural materials such as stone and wood have been used, but at the same time it has all the amenities that exist in an urban home, like heated floors, gas, electric heating.
The view of the lake, the mountains and the wild vegetation is spectacular and that`s the reason why simple, austere, almost primitive lines prevailed in the construction, managing to integrate the building into the landscape in a way that it`s not a disharmony in this natural environment.

Ένα σπίτι χτισμένο με μοναστική απλότητα στη Νέα Ζηλανδία, έργο του αρχιτεκτονικού γραφείου Fearon Hay Architects. Αποτελεί ένα σύγχρονο καταφύγιο στο οποίο έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί φυσικά υλικά όπως πέτρα και ξύλο, αλλά παράλληλα έχει όλες τις ανέσεις που έχει ένα σύγχρονο αστικό σπίτι όπως θερμαινόμενα δάπεδα, φυσικό αέριο, ηλεκτρική θέρμανση.
Η θέα στη λίμνη, τα βουνά και την πλούσια άγρια βλάστηση είναι μαγευτική και γι'αυτόν το λόγο στην κατασκευή επικράτησαν οι απλές, λιτές, σχεδόν αρχέγονες γραμμές που πέτυχαν να ενσωματωθεί το οίκημα στο τοπίο και να μην αποτελεί παραφωνία στο φυσικό περιβάλλον.
